3. Social work technicians may assess, within the scope of the activities referred to in subparagraph i of paragraph d of section 37 of the Professional Code (chapter C-26), a person further to a decision of the director of youth protection to receive reports regarding children, analyze them briefly and decide whether they must be evaluated further pursuant to the Youth Protection Act (chapter P-34.1).
